Elisa and Rio continue to do well. The insurance company is finding them a six-month rental in West Asheville while the house is rebuilt from the ground up. Thank you for all the donated items. Practically everything Elisa needed has been provided. Also, over $200 has been donated. Aside from coming to help out this weekend (see last post), you can donate through the Paypal button. If you have any questions, leave a comment.
Thanks again.

Help needed this weekend
This Saturday and Sunday July 31st and August 1st, Elisa will be going through each and every one of her belongings that wasn't destroyed in the fire to catalog them for the insurance company. It will be a messy job but needs to get done a.s.a.p. If you have even just two hours to spare this weekend please come and help out. Right now this is the biggest thing Elisa and Rio need. The more people we have there the faster it will go. Mornings and evenings might be the best time so that no one is working in the highest heat of the day. If you could post in the comments which day and what times you'd like to help out that would be great. I just noticed that August 1st is friendship day, how coincidental is that?
Elisa's sister is flying in to Charlotte to be with her sister and nephew this Friday at 1:20 p.m. If there is anyone that might be in that area of the state at that time or could possibly pick her up at the airport and bring her to Asheville please let Elisa know. She'd be leaving Asheville on Monday August 2nd at around 3 p.m. and would also need a ride back to Charlotte.
If we all do just one thing to help them through this devastating time added up it would be a lot. These are some things and ways in which we can help. All you can do is put your needs out into the Universe and see what comes back.
Thank you All.

Staying at the hotel
Elisa has told me to tell you all that she is so very thankful to her friends, family and neighbors for all their help and to all the people praying and sending positive thoughts their way. She feels very grateful and very blessed.
They do not need food right now and they have no room at the hotel for a lot of clothes. We will need some help at the house as we must do some inventory lists of the things that were destroyed. I will let you know when that is happening.
Please send your positive energy and love their way and write them a little note to let them know you are thinking about them.
Thank you.
Please feel free to leave messages to her here as she will check this blog out regularly.
She and Rio are staying at The Homewood Suites Hilton in Asheville. Directions are here - http://www.ashevillehomewoodsuites.com/hotel-location/
Elisa does not wish to receive a lot of calls right now because she needs to keep her phone line open to be able to talk with the insurance and housing people right away. The insurance company is doing a great job and helping out in many ways.

This is a news and donations page for Elisa Alvarado and her son Rio. Their house burned down in the middle of the night on Wednesday the 22nd. They escaped unharmed but have lost all their possessions. Please donate what you can via Paypal or credit card using the button on the right. We are using Alan Muskat's account for donations so his name will come up.
Thank you for your help and well wishes.
